TOP GRADNJA d.o.o
LOCATION
Dubrava, Zagreb
YEAR
2018
FLOOR AREA
460.00 m2
Residential Building M is located on a relatively small lot. The idea behind the whole concept was to allow maximum interaction between the interior of the house and the surrounding landscape and adapt the design of the house to the sloping ground, which has been accomplished by split-level type of construction. Therefore, the aim of the design was to enable greater communication of the ground-floor apartments with the surrounding landscape.
On the account of the semi-level construction, the building appears to have two volumes of different heights. The main entrance to the building is located on the southern façade on the “lower” ground-floor level where the entrance to the ground-floor apartment overlooking the street is also situated. The first floor houses two apartments on middle floors, and one apartment is in the attic consisting of two levels and a large terrace oriented towards the south and the west.
The facades represent a combination of differently treated parts of the volume emphasised by the use of colour. The additional plasticity of the façade has been accomplished by irregular cut-outs of loggias. The whole façade of the living zones of west-oriented apartments is in glass and the use of glass fence panels enables an unobstructed view of the surroundings and interaction of the interior and the exterior of the building.
