The design of the Leisure Home D evokes the language of vernacular architecture and traditional building methods through a distinctly contemporary aesthetic. The compact dwelling features a simple volume with a double-pitched, sloping roof, stone cladding and white plastering. The house is distinguished by contemporary features aligned with vernacular, traditional building methods. The whole house is perceived as a single volume dwelling offering astonishing views of the outdoors from every part of the house. The street façade is accentuated by the entrance porch specific for its contemporary architectural details. The lateral façade features a balcony attached to contemporary designed outdoor stairs. The house facades have been designed by using openings of various sizes in dark grey colour which open the house to the surrounding nature. The house follows the flow of the sloping site which allows it to be perfectly integrated with the surrounding landscape and enables a direct contact with the surrounding terrain on both levels.

The sloping site has led us to create the basement level which we clad in stone and thus made the house visually blend into the landscape. The outdoor roofed-over terrace can be easily accessed from the basement and offers direct connection with the surrounding nature. The basement houses utility rooms and a wine cellar. The white volume of the ground floor, which is in strict contrast to the stone cladding of the basement level, contains all the areas necessary for a comfortable life. Entering the house from the ground floor level, you step into the public space leading you through the kitchen which opens to a spacious dining room and living room designed as an open-plan space with lowered flooring as opposed to the rest of the ground floor which accommodates three bedrooms and a bathroom. The living zone has been envisaged as a comfortable living space with white walls, light wood flooring and plenty of daylight. Large glass walls blur the boundary between the interior and the exterior. When fully open, they enable an unobstructed view of the surrounding nature.
